Two interactive installations for Aquamarine Fukushima, among the earliest permanent works of this kind.

The first, designed for children, sat above an aquarium tank using a rear-projection film as its surface. A camera tracked visitors' movements, letting them interact with virtual fish swimming in front of them, blending the real aquatic world below with a digital one above.

The second was a quieter, more contemplative piece, designed in collaboration with Japanese artist Ryuji Ito. On a nearby wall, a 2D line-drawn jellyfish drifted in stillness, occasionally joined by schools of fish passing through. Visitors' movements drew responses from the artwork, though the interaction was subtle, less a game than a presence.

For both installations, I designed and developed the system and content from the ground up.
